Bionic Hand

Group project that involved fully modeling and performing simulations on a prosthetic hand using Siemens NX. Specific personal contributions included modeling the thumb component entirely, complete with rotation mechanism and using surface modeling techniques. FEA was used for the thumb component to perform a static loading simulation and a buckling simulation to determine the maximum force it could withstand. Mesh convergence was performed for the simulation, an animation was created to demonstrate its motion, and hand calculations were performed to verify results. The below presentation was edited to only include personal contributions to the project.
